About the study
Starting university can be a fun and exciting time, but also stressful and demanding. The PLUS study will look at the impact of personality on students’ wellbeing, and whether an online programme designed to help students can improve wellbeing.
Who can take part?
We are looking for any students studying at a UK university.
What will happen if I take part?
If you wish to take part, you’ll need to create an online account above. We’ll give you some more information about the study and check you’re eligible to participate. You’ll then be asked to complete a set of questionnaires covering topics such as your personality, your mental health and health-related behaviours (e.g., alcohol consumption). After this, you’ll receive personalised feedback on your responses, and also be given access to a series of online modules designed to support students during their time at university. We’ll ask you to work through these modules within a three-month period, and to fill out questionnaires four times over a 12-month period.
What’s in it for me?
The online sessions are designed to help and support students, and we hope you’ll find the content useful and interesting. You’ll also get feedback on your questionnaire responses, allowing you to learn more about yourself, your personality and your strengths and weaknesses. Finally, each time you complete one of the online assessments, you’ll be entered into a raffle for an iPad.
